A perfect day spent on the harbour on board a ferry chasing the 18′ Skiff Race. These beautiful wooden skiffs are nothing like those of today. With crews of 6 – 8 people and weighed down with a small mountain of gear, there’s barely room to move when on board. This is a sport for all with the oldest crew member being 84 years young and his skipper was a mere 80 years old. I take my hat off to the crew and their dedication.
